To get new records
Choose “Ver Log Nuevos” and push “siga” button. If there are any new socios applications, they will display in a new window. Select all and copy from the new window. Paste the results into a new Word document. Use the macro key “command + \” to make the data ready for import. Save that document as a text file. Be sure to erase the log on the server by choosing “Borrar Log Nuevos” and then pushing “signa” button above. Import the text document you saved in Word into Socios (in FileMaker Pro). Make sure the fields are properly aligned (nothing should align with “Nueva solicitud”), then import records being sure not to replace old records.

To process updates
Choose “Ver Log Actualizaciones” and push “siga”. Again, the log will display in a new window. Select all and copy records for updated member information. Again, paste records into a Word document and run the “command+\” macro. Save as a text file. Be sure to erase the log on the server by choosing “Borrar Log Actualizaciones” and then pushing “signa” button above. Import the text file you saved from Word into SociosClone (in FileMaker Pro). Make sure the fields are properly aligned (nothing should align with “Actualizacion”) and import replacing any records that are left (if any). Then, use the records in SociosClone to update the corresponding records in Socios.

To update the database on the server
After you have processed new applications and/or updated member information into Socios in FileMaker Pro, you will need to replace the entire database on the server. In Socios (FileMaker Pro), find all records, then export them as a “tab delimited text” file. Open that file in any text editor (SimpleText, Word, NotePad, etc.). Select all and copy the contents of that file. Then choose “Reemplazar Base de Datos” and press the “siga” button above. A new form will load with just one field. Paste the text file you recently copied into this field and press the “enviar” button. You should get a message acknowledging that the database has been successfully updated.
